A boutique 100-acre farm at 800m in the foothills behind Numeralla, about 25km south of Cooma, best known for award-winning cold-climate extra virgin olive oil. Pick-your-own cherries run in the grove at $20/kg, roughly from late November to early January. There are no fixed opening hours or online booking -- ring 0414 515 658 or check Facebook for harvest timing. Apricots, garlic and olive oil are also grown and sold through the online shop, but only the cherries are pick-your-own.

Bring a hat, closed shoes, water and cash or a card for what you pick. Rows can be uneven underfoot, so a pram may be harder going in wet weather. Facilities aren't confirmed for this farm — check when you call ahead.
Check before you drive
Seasons shift with the weather. Always call the farm to confirm what's ripe and that they're open before you drive out.

The pricing on record for Snowy Mountain Estate is: $20/kg for pick-your-own cherries, charged only for what you pick; cherries packed into 2kg boxes; gift wrapping available for an extra fee (per farm blog). Rates move as a crop comes in and out, and published prices lag — check the current figure before you go.
Cherries is what Snowy Mountain Estate is listed for, with a usual window of late November to early January. Ripening tracks the weather rather than the calendar — worth confirming the week you plan to go.
