Working 25-acre Shiraz vineyard with a cellar door and the Cornella Brewery, at Cornella in the Heathcote wine region. These are wine-grade Shiraz grapes for home winemaking rather than table grapes: you pre-order through the farm's order form, and once the fruit is ready you are welcome to come and hand-pick your own order, which takes roughly two hours and earns a 15% discount against having staff pick it for you. It is open to anyone, not members only. A separate Rent-A-Row program lets you rent a vine row, hand-harvest it and make your own small-batch wine with equipment supplied; it won Regional Tourism Gold in 2018. The cellar door serves pizza, coffee, wine and craft beer, hosts live music at weekends, and is dog-friendly on lead and kid-friendly under supervision on what is a working farm. Opening hours are reported inconsistently, so check with the vineyard before travelling.
