Albany & Great Southern

Certified organic blueberry farm (self-described on its own Facebook page) at 489 Thompson Road, Lowlands WA, roughly midway between Albany and Denmark. Verified as a real, currently active business via its own Facebook page (1.2K followers, posts as recent as April 2026, address/phone confirmed, category 'Farm') and independently via pickyourown.org's 2026 WA U-Pick directory, which lists 'Blueberry Lakes' by name at this exact address with a direct link to the same Facebook page, and historically states it opens 1 Jan-27 Feb, Mon-Sat 9am-5pm, cash only (older contact details there: phone 08 9845 2473, email [email protected]). Its own website (blueberrylakeswa.com) no longer resolves; Wayback Machine shows its last live capture was ~2018 (a Flash-built site) with 403 errors since - the business appears to now operate via Facebook only. IMPORTANT CAVEAT: two of the discovery note's specific sourcing claims did not hold up on verification and have been excluded from this record - (1) the cited au.pickyourown.farm Albany and Denmark blueberry pages list only 'Eden Gate Blueberry Farm' (685 Eden Road, Youngs Siding - a separate, different business with a different address and phone number) and do not mention Blueberry Lakes at all; (2) the cited Albany Tripadvisor forum thread, on inspection, recommends Eden Gate and 'Denmark Berry Farm' rather than naming Blueberry Lakes specifically. Pricing figures surfacing from general web search were inconsistent across attempts ($25/kg+$5 entry vs $10/bucket) and could not be pinned to one reliable primary source, so price_notes is left null rather than guessed. No source confirms kid-friendliness, toilets, dogs policy, cafe on-site, or the buckets-provided/shade-tunnel picking setup mentioned in the discovery note - treat those as unconfirmed. Not a duplicate of any existing listing (including Eden Gate, which is also not in the existing 290-farm list). No existing region fits (Perth Hills, South West WA, and Swan Valley are all near Perth, not Albany/Great Southern), so a new region is warranted.

Before you go

Bring a hat, closed shoes, water and cash or a card for what you pick. Rows can be uneven underfoot, so a pram may be harder going in wet weather. Facilities aren't confirmed for this farm — check when you call ahead.
