New farm (opened June 2026) established by Glen Austin on land where McMartin's/other former growers once operated; run without pesticides/herbicides; opened after the closure of Strawberry Fields Palmview, described in local press as filling the gap left by 'the region's last public pick-your-own operation'. Farm rep Edwin Mens and wife Pim Mens (of Pim's Organics) are involved. Also growing potatoes and pumpkins (not stated as pick-your-own) and about 50,000 strawberry plants.

Glass House Tropical Fruits at Glass House Mountains lists its costs this way: $15 per 500g at season start (June 2026); farm representatives said price expected to fall toward normal market rate as production increases through the season. Entry and per-kilo rates shift through the season and aren't always listed online, so it's worth confirming the current cost when you call ahead.
Strawberries, lychees, sunflowers and vegetables is what Glass House Tropical Fruits is listed for, with a usual window of May/Jun-Nov, peak Aug-Sep; not yet fruiting, trees planted late 2025, harvest expected in future years. Ripening tracks the weather rather than the calendar — worth confirming the week you plan to go.
Glass House Tropical Fruits is listed as suitable for children, based on the details we hold. Rows can be uneven and some crops need ladders, so for a visit with toddlers it's worth a quick call to confirm what suits their age.
