The dry season, roughly May to October, is the visitor season across the Top End — the wet season brings heat, humidity and flooding that can close roads and properties. Always confirm the season and access with the operator before you travel.
They're spread widely — Adelaide River is about an hour south of Darwin and Katherine around three hours. Distances are large, so plan your route and fuel carefully.
