Geelong & the Bellarine has 5 farms where you can pick your own Strawberries, Flowers and Sunflowers across the season. Picking windows shift with the weather — check each farm's status below and call ahead before you drive out.
Geelong is about an hour southwest of the Melbourne CBD, and the Bellarine Peninsula's picking farms fan out from there through Drysdale, Mount Duneed and Wallington. Strawberries are the mainstay: Surf Coast Strawberry Fields at Mount Duneed picks from October or November through to late April, and Lomas Orchards at Wallington runs an equally long strawberry season alongside apples, pears and stone fruit for later in the year. Tuckerberry Hill Berry Farm at Drysdale adds blueberries and stone fruit to the mix over summer, so it's worth following its picking updates before you go. The region also has a couple of flower-picking stops — Surf Coast Sunflowers at Modewarre blooms for a short window in January, and Mannerim Stables Co offers pick-your-own flowers on weekends when open. Because bloom and fruit timing both depend on the weather, confirm what's actually ready before you drive down.
